Decide first whether to ride the capsule or only the train
Scroll the table sideways. With a keyboard, move focus to the table and use the arrow keys.
| Purpose of the trip | Choice | Margin to leave |
|---|---|---|
| You want to try the small capsule on the elevated rail | One-way capsule, Mipo↔Cheongsapo | Waiting to enter and the walk after you get off |
| You want to go as far as Songjeong or get off at an intermediate stop | Mainly the Beach Train | Waiting to re-board and the return trip |
| You want to ride both | One-way capsule + a train ticket that fits your route | Travel, meals and rest between the two |
The capsule covers about 2 km between Mipo and Cheongsapo, and the operator gives the one-way ride time as about 30 minutes. The train links Mipo, Cheongsapo and Songjeong and also stops at intermediate stops. You cannot take the capsule as far as Songjeong. The routes in the table below are suggestions based on these official routes; they are not a tested itinerary or connections that are guaranteed.
"All-Station" is not an unlimited re-boarding ticket either
Scroll the table sideways. With a keyboard, move focus to the table and use the arrow keys.
| Ticket | Official condition | Plan it suits |
|---|---|---|
| 1-Ride ticket | Ride once and get off; no re-boarding | One trip from Cheongsapo to Mipo |
| 2-Ride ticket | One ride at each of two stations of your choice, two rides in total | Cheongsapo→Songjeong, Songjeong→Mipo |
| All-Station ticket | One ride at each station, up to seven rides | A plan to get off at several stops and continue from other stations |
The name "All-Station" does not mean you can ride repeatedly from the same station. You must get off at the terminals, Mipo and Songjeong. There is also a package of a one-way capsule + Beach Train All-Station ticket, but if you will ride the train only once, compare the current prices and conditions of the individual tickets and the package. Train fares are per person and capsule fares are per capsule, so match the unit when you calculate.
Even with a ticket, a seat and immediate boarding are not guaranteed on every re-boarding. The train has no assigned seating and you may have to stand, and the line to re-board can get long. Check the official ticket conditions and the boarding guide together.
Write down where you will end up before choosing the start station
Scroll the table sideways. With a keyboard, move focus to the table and use the arrow keys.
| Start | Order of the two attractions | Return check |
|---|---|---|
| Mipo, a short loop | Capsule Mipo→Cheongsapo, rest, then train Cheongsapo→Mipo | One train ride. Check the return direction from Cheongsapo and when service ends |
| Mipo, going as far as Songjeong | Capsule Mipo→Cheongsapo, train Cheongsapo→Songjeong, train Songjeong→Mipo | Two train rides in total, from two different stations. Leave time to get back from Songjeong |
| Songjeong, finishing at Mipo | Train Songjeong→Cheongsapo, capsule Cheongsapo→Mipo | The day ends at Mipo. If you left a car or luggage at Songjeong, you need a separate way back |
The booking screen has you choose your starting location and the attraction you ride first. For a package starting at Songjeong, it directs you to choose the Beach Train first. If you start from Cheongsapo, decide separately whether to take the capsule toward Mipo or the train toward Songjeong. Rather than deciding that "starting from Mipo is always best", fit the plan to your hotel, luggage and next destination.

Separate the capsule entry time from the first train boarding time
The capsule reservation time is not the time from departure to arrival but your entry time. You enter in that time slot, wait, and board in turn. If you add only about 30 minutes of ride time and book the next train right away, you can miss the waiting and the transfer between attractions. Read the connection notes on the booking screen and leave margin for getting off, walking and resting.
For the train you must keep to the first boarding time you booked, and the official guide says the boarding queue closes 10 minutes before departure. Passengers with an original first-boarding reservation have priority and re-boarding passengers go after them, but entry at Cheongsapo and the minor stops is first come, first served. In particular, a ticket does not mean you can board the return train right away at any time.
The official booking guide, checked on October 10, 2026, says that tickets for the Monday-to-Sunday week four weeks ahead are released every Tuesday at 7 a.m. (Korean time). A small number of on-site tickets are also sold first come, first served but can sell out early. This guide did not check seat availability for any specific date.
If you get off at Songjeong, the way back is part of the plan
If your hotel or car is at Mipo, leave separate time to get back after visiting Songjeong. If you plan to ride the train once more after a meal and a walk on the beach, check the number of rides, the direction from Songjeong, the last service on your visit day and the wait to re-board. Having an All-Station ticket does not mean you can ride after the last service.
If time is short, it is fine to link only Mipo and Cheongsapo or to ride only the train. Service can be adjusted for rain, strong wind or safety inspections, so check the booking screen and official notices again. Walking back along the shore when service is suspended is not an alternative that works for everyone. Look at that day's weather, the walking effort and substitute transport, and narrow your visit.

Decide where to store luggage and how to get back to your hotel
The official FAQ says there are lockers at Mipo, Cheongsapo and Songjeong. That is not information guaranteeing free lockers or room for large luggage. If you leave luggage at the starting station, you still have to pick it up after a route that ends at a different station. To avoid mistaking Busan's Donghae Line Songjeong Station for Blueline Park's Songjeong tourist stop as the same boarding place, check the operator's stop map.
There is a notice that strollers can be folded and taken on board, and that manual wheelchairs can be used on the train but must be folded in the capsule. Electric wheelchairs are listed as not allowed on either attraction. If you need mobility support, check your own conditions with the operator before you book. Capsule capacity and the exceptions for children also need to be checked separately for your group.
You do not need to change hotels only for this activity. Decide the transport back to your existing hotel and how you will pick up luggage, then decide whether to spend the evening in Songjeong or finish at Mipo.
Hotels to compare for your route
Choose your Blue Line Park boarding point before picking a base in Haeundae. Distinguish each hotel address from your reserved platform at Mipo, Cheongsapo, or Songjeong, and check how you will get there with luggage.
Shilla Stay Haeundae: For a base in the Haeundae Beach area
Shilla Stay Haeundae is at 46 Haeun-daero 570beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan. Compare it if you want to organize beach time and nearby meals around your hotel. Check the access route described by the hotel and the actual hotel entrance.
The hotel entrance and the Blue Line Park platforms at Mipo, Cheongsapo, and Songjeong are separate places. Plan the trip to the platform you have reserved, and do not assume the hotel location guarantees a sea view or that a particular facility is operating. Before booking, check the room view, occupancy, beds, breakfast, parking, cancellation terms, and opening status of any facility you need.

L7 HAEUNDAE by LOTTE HOTELS: For a central Haeundae stay and nearby plans
L7 HAEUNDAE by LOTTE HOTELS is at 55 Haeun-daero 570beon-gil, Haeundae-gu, Busan. Compare it if you want to connect the beach and city plans from central Haeundae. Check the name and address to distinguish it from L7 properties elsewhere and other Lotte-affiliated hotels in Haeundae.
Do not assume this hotel is directly beside a Blue Line Park platform either. Plan the route to the platform you will actually use around your boarding time. Check the room’s view, beds, and occupancy, along with breakfast and cancellation terms. For facilities such as the pool, separately confirm operating dates, guest rules, and how any fee relates to your room terms.
